SOUTH CHINA, MAINE
Carol L. Rice - age 59, of Lakeview Drive, and formerly a longtime resident of Florida, died unexpectedly on January 20, 2018 at her home. She was born in Concord, NH on Nov. 13, 1958 the daughter of Martin S. Laughy and Beatrice A. (Giltmore) Laughy.
Carol was employed by Bank of America in Florida for many years.
She was predeceased by her mother.
Surviving is her son, Timothy Rice of St. Johns, FL; two daughters: Teri Ledford and Nichole Bolton, both of Jacksonville, FL; her father, Martin S. Laughy of Middleton, NH; three sisters: Robin L. Duncklee of South China, ME, Patsy Lever of Exeter, ME and Mary Laughy of Augusta, ME; one brother, Michael W. Laughy, Sr. of Middleton, NH; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
There are no planned public visiting hours. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Wilmot, NH at a later date.
