Obituary for William Arthur Downs
William Arthur Downs, age 52 of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Born in Mitchell, Georgia on January 30, 1965, he was a son of Nell Stewart Downs of Mitchell and the late Alvin Downs. Mr. Downs was currently employed as a truck driver with AIM Logistics. He attended Grace Baptist Church and was known by his family as a jack of all trades. Arthur enjoyed time with his family and farming.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his loving wife of three years, Kim Meeks Downs of Cornelia; children, Rebekah, Rachel, Carrie, Jesse, and Leah Culpepper all of Cornelia; brother, John Downs of Gibson, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William & Sue Westmoreland Meeks of Mt. Airy; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Yarber officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Wednesday.
