Mrs. Bess Brown Lovell, age 90, passed away on Monday January 22, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2018 from 5:30PM until 7:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and again on Thursday January 25, 2018 from 11:30AM until 11:50AM at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 25, 2018 at 12:00PM at the Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Banes and Rev. David Slaughter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Lovell was a lifelong resident of the Shiloh Community in Rankin County where she was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was a proud United States Marine Corps wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years and the love of her life, James E. “Peck” Lovell in 2008; her parents, Clarence C. Brown and Estella Patrick Brown; and her sisters, Louise Fields and Sissie Edwards. She is survived by her nephews, Curry Fields (Jennifer) of the Shiloh Community, and Kevin Fields (Patricia) and son Troy of Engelwood, TN; nieces, Claudia Briggs (Rick) and son Quentin of Gulfport, MS, and Amber Beemon (Howard) and children Chrystianna, Airanna, and Tyson of the Shiloh Community; dear friends, Shirley Allen, Fay and Gay Nobles, and Bobby Boone; and several other cousins, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Billy Rhodes, Keith Rhodes, Eugene Townsend, Pat Lewis, Clark Robbins, and Carl Gray. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Warren, Daniel White, and Jimmy Rhodes.
