Obituary for Glendora Nelson

Glendora  Nelson
Glendora Nelson Jolly, 92, of East Wenatchee, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born in Plano, IA, on March 20, 1925, to
John R. and Carrie Ellen (Peppers) Bane. Along with siblings and parents, she
spent her early years in Nebraska. They then moved to Buena, WA, and finally
settled in the Wenatchee Valley.

She was a 50-plus year resident of Peshastin, WA, and a 20-plus year resident
of East Wenatchee. She was also a 50-plus year member of the Chumstick Grange
in Leavenworth, WA, and an honorary life member of USAF Air Defense Team. She
married Victor E. Nelson, of Peshastin, on July 2, 1942, and they had two
children: Karen and Ron. She was an assistant cook for the Peshastin-Dryden
School District for many years, and also worked for several area warehouses.
She loved collecting M&M figures, garage sales, and crocheting. She
married Harvey Jolly on August 27, in the mid-1990’s.

Glendora is survived by husband, Harvey W. Jolly, of the home; daughter, Karen
Kell of East Wenatchee, WA; brother, John Bane of East Wenatchee, WA; four
grandchildren: Brian (Grace) and Keith Kell, both of East Wenatchee, WA,
Marina (Shane) Covey of Chelan, WA, and Misty (Chris) Diaz of Watsonville, CA;
four great-grandchildren: Taylor (Brian) Critchlow of Felton, CA, Cami Covey
of Wenatchee, WA, Bailey (Sergio) Robles of Renton, WA, and Emily Diaz of
Watsonville, CA; step-son, Woody (Sandy) Jolly of Laughlin, NV; step-daughter,
Betty Mellee (Tim) Haisler of Bothell, WA; numerous step-grandchildren, nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Victor E. Nelson;
her parents; son, Ronald D. Nelson; sister, Ann Pulliam; and several nieces,
aunts, and uncles.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Regency Wenatchee for their excellent
care of Glendora.

At her request, there will be no services. Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee,WA,
is in charge of arrangements.
