Reverend James Edward Reiter
Reverend James Edward Reiter, 72, of Irwin PA 15642 died Tuesday January 23, 2018 at his home. He was born March 10, 1945 in Jeannette, he was the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Rose Reiter. Prior to his retirement James was a Byzantine Catholic Priest. He was also a retired Veteran of the US Airforce Reserves; he was a member, former Quartermaster and past Chaplin of the VFW Post 781 of Irwin, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1222 of Jeannette and of the St. Vincent Assembly. Surviving are two brothers, Richard Reiter of Irwin, and Michael Reiter and his wife Janet of Palm Beach, FL. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Ave. Irwin on Sunday from 1-5 PM. Parting Prayers will take place on Monday at 9:00 AM in the funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.
