Lenny Frank "Hondo"  Cynkar
Lenny “Hondo” Cynkar, 63, Rhinelander, passed away January 23, 2018, unexpectedly at his home with his loving wife at his side.

Lenny was born on May 7, 1954 in Mosinee, to the late Ted and Josephine (Zywicki) Cynkar. He graduated from Mosinee High School where he excelled in many sports. Lenny married Candace Nelson on February 6, 1993. She survives.

Lenny was employed by Zimpro then for the Village of Rothschild for 34 years until his retirement. Lenny was a disc jockey for many years and thoroughly enjoyed his music. Upon retirement they moved to Rhinelander and enjoyed living on the lake. He was involved and initiated a ATV/UTV club. Lenny was a handyman to all who needed him. He enjoyed all summer activities but mostly his pontoon.

Survivers, besides his loving wife Candy; include his five children, Adam and Laura Cynkar, Trevor Lykken, Nicole (Chad) Gorski, and Angie (Chad Rutzen) Anderson; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Lenny is further survived by his brother Jerome (Adele) Cynkar; a sister Sharon (Richard) Chmiel; and many nieces and nephews; he is also survived by numerous brother and sister in-laws.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 503 Schmidt Ave, Rothschild, WI. The Rev. Rich Block will officiate. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Visitation will be again from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.
