Obituary for Jean Curtin Day

Mrs. Jean Curtin Day, 99, of Albany, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her home.
A service honoring the life of Mrs. Day will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Albany. Rev. Josh Bower and Rev. Roger Richards will officiate. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens.
Born April 19, 1918 in Orange, NJ, Mrs. Day was the daughter of the late Arthur and Amy Clark Curtin. She was a loving homemaker that loved her family dearly. She was a proud military wife and had a special place in her heart for the Marine Corps. Mrs. Day was a secretary for a local bowling league and loved the game of bowling. She also had a “green thumb” and loved her green plants, enjoyed crafting, sewing and needle point. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albany.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. Day and sister, Doris Rodgers.
Survivors include her children, Frances Rankin of Albany, Carol (Clifford) Inlow of Putney and Susan Day of Albany; grandchildren, Amy (Russell) Wells of Clarksville, IN, Kim and Stephen Buckhalter of Leesburg, Coleen (Michael) Verner Statham and Steven (Dana) Rankin of Woodstock and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Missions Committee, 220 N Jackson St. Albany GA 31701.
