Jack Nelson Coggins died peacefully on January 31, 2018 in Corsicana, just shy of his 63rd birthday, after a brief battle with cancer.
Jack was born on February 4, 1955 in Corsicana, Texas. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1973. “Uncle Jack” was a simple man, happiest when at home with family and enjoying a backyard BBQ. He loved following the sports and accomplishments of his nieces and nephews and the local High School teams. He also enjoyed many rounds of golf at The Oaks Golf Course with friends.
Jack is survived by his sister Sandra Reeves and her husband, Mike Reeves of Burleson, Texas, nieces Sheila Bentley, Lisa Burch and Roni Will as well as nephews Robbie Hoffman and Nick Hoffman (and 13 great nieces and nephews). He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Juanita Coggins, of Corsicana, Texas and sister Sue Whitlock Hoffman of Fort Worth, Texas.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Jack will be laid to rest next to his sister, mother and father under the Bradford Pear tree that he planted.
