Alice “Joan” Morris, 87, of Stilwell, KS passed away Feb. 2, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society of Olathe. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Tue., Feb. 6, 2018 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030 (913) 856-7111. Burial following at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Good Shepherd Hospice. Joan was born September 27, 1930 in Springfield, OH to William “Bill” L. and Ruby Pearl (Fitzgivens) Jones. She grew up in New Carlisle, OH where she graduated from New Carlisle High School. Joan married Famon Kenneth “Kenny” Morris in Springfield, OH. She lived in Springfield, OH most of her life but moved to Stilwell four years ago to be near family. Joan was a homemaker but worked as a secretary for AAA and a restaurant supply company. She was a member of North Presbyterian Church, Springfield, OH. Joan was a great cook. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Joan will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Agnes “Peggy” Jones, husband, Kenny; siblings: Lawrence “Bud” Jones and Mildred Sutch. Joan is survived by daughter, Linda and husband Mark Warrell, Stilwell, KS and son, Donald and wife Terrie Morris, Olathe, KS; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
