Roseann (Armstrong) Reeder, 85, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, February 2, 2018 at home with her family. She was born February 16, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Helen (Diemer) Armstrong. She grew up in Oregon, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign where she met her husband, John. They moved to Connecticut and raised 5 children and were together for 65 years until her passing last Friday. Roseann was active in scouting as a troop leader for many years. She was also interested in antiques and collecting glassware and furniture. She was a great cook and baker as well as an avid gardener. She loved to travel to Colonial Williamsburg and to Garden Week in Virginia. On Election days she could be found working at the polls. She is survived by her husband, John Reeder, her daughter Cathy (Brunetti) and sons Gordon, John and Matthew and many grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen. Her passing is a great loss to her family and friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
