NAUGATUCK , CT – Michelle Lynn Ballenger, age 40 of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Feb 4th 2018 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Michelle was born June 22, 1977 in Manchester CT, the daughter of Josephus and Jessie (Bivens) Ballenger of Naugatuck CT. She grew up in Naugatuck, attended Saint Francis Assisi Grammar School and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University, she went on to become a Human Resources Coordinator for 3M Purification Inc. of Meriden where she worked for more than two decades. Michelle, a proud member of MENSA International, was a self-professed “filmophile” who would love nothing more than to sit down for a bit to break down the latest science fiction movie or medieval fantasy - based trilogy series. Animal lover Michelle shared an avid interest in pop culture with her sisters and found happiness in her hobbies which included creative writing, planning family travel and entertaining her nephew.

Along with her parents, Michelle is also survived by her sister, Alicia Marie of Sherman Oaks, CA and Elizabeth Ballenger of Naugatuck as well as her nephew, Logan.
