Condolence: Dearest Jane

I am so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing.
It seems like I just blinked and all these years have passed since Bill and I were close friends, dare I say best friends our last years in high school. I regret not keeping in touch. He always had a zany sense of humor and was a kind and caring young man. I know your years with him were full of love and wonderful memories; and, I believe his children will carry on his wonderful traits just as his parents passed them on to him.
I could write pages about our crazy (yet harmless) antics in high school and the Nat'l Guard. But, what is most important for you to know is that I truly valued his friendship and have thought about him numerous times every time I drive by his childhood home.
I wish peace for you and your family.
