Laura Odysa  Clark (Little)
Mrs. Laura Odysa Little Clark, daughter of the late Odysa Little, was born in Iredell County, on September 10, 1929. She departed this life at the Gordon Hospice House on February 6, 2018 following an extended illness.

She attended Morningside High School, and was employed as a Homemaker. Affectionately called Snookie, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and auntie. Aunt Snookie will be great missed. She was a member of We Care Outreach Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Jr. Clark, a son, Donald Brian Clark, two brothers, O B Little, and Marcella Little; three sisters, Jacolia Little Turner, Ernestine Summers and Sadie Hickman; granddaughter, Adrian Denise Clark; and a daughter-n-law, Johnnie Clark.

Mrs. Clark is survived by six grandchildren, Anita (Charles Holbrook) Summers, Laura Anita Clark, and Richard Bryan Clark, all of Statesville; Donald Bryan Clark, Jr. of Washington, DC, Maria Mock and Shane Mock, both of Charlotte; nephew, William (Shelia) Reid; nieces, Catherine Turner; great nephews, Mason (Kim) Wood, Darwin Turner, Sr., Pastor Anthony (Vickie) Turner, Bruce Turner, Gary Turner, Tony Turner, Billy Craig Turner, Smith Turner, Jr., Russell Turner, and Jeffery Turner, all of Statesville; Benny Thornton, Darryl Murphy, Tyrone Ransford, and Ernest Ransford, all of Washington, DC; great nieces, Cynthia Cook, and Linda Ransford, both of Washington, DC, Sharon Turner, Tanza Turner, Faye Holmes, and Lisa Turner, all of Statesville; niece-in-law, Catherine Holmes Turner; nephew-in-law, Mason Wood; a special friend of the family, Jerry Parker; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Clark will be conducted Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Anthony Turner will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Laura Odysa Little Clark will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
