Pauline Jean B. Samp, 90, of Spring Hill, KS passed away February 6, 2018. Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS 66083 913-592-2244. Visitation at 10:00 am before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Charitable Foundation for Olathe Hospice or Wayside Waifs in KCMO. Pauline was born March 1, 1927 in Plattsburgh, NY to George and Edith A. (Haylett) Brunell. She grew up in Upstate New York. She went to college at University of Miami and got a Nursing Degree and then received a Degree in Psychology and Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Pasadena Nazarene College. Pauline was then Head of Nursing at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA and was a psychologist, marriage, family and child counseling. Pauline moved to Kansas in 1991 to be near her family. She worked as a Para for the Olathe School District at Frontier Trail Jr. High, retiring at the age of 83. She enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling and was an avid Yahtzee player. Pauline’s world revolved around her family, she spent most of her spare time with them. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; Shirley S. Peters “Gram” who helped raise her and former husbands: Harry Lee Hibbitts and John Samp. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and Roger “Pat” Findley of Spring Hill, KS and granddaughter, Shannon Cole-Findley.
