MARTIN S. McALLISTER

MORRISVILLE: Martin S. “Marty” McAllister, 92, of North Butler Rd., passed away Thursday, February 7, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
He was born May 23, 1925 in Baldwinsville, a son of Martin W. and Louise M. Chase McAllister. He received his education in Hamilton and Brookfield schools. Marty proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Marty worked at Bud’s Service in Oneida and later, owned and operated M&M Collision in Oneida.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #169 in Oneida, and the Owls Club in Oneida.
Surviving are his companion, Shirley Hilts of Morrisville; his children, Martin W. and Nancy McAllister, Sharon Murray, Penney and Russell Lour, Darlene and George Lloyd, Karen Jean and James Flager, Marlene and John Salay and Michael McAllister; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Genevieve and William Lewis and Thelma Grims; brother, Woodson McAllister; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Shirley’s children, James, Cindy, Wendy and Tracy Hilts, Nancy and Michael AliAli. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Richard, and sisters, Lillian Chetwin, Donna McAllister and Rita Woodcock.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
Interment will military honors will be in the West Eaton Cemetery in the spring.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7pm prior to the service.
