Passing of a giant When I left Barbados Rediffusion to help launch The Nation newspaper in 1973, Trevor Hollingsworth was a wet-behind-the-ears teenager eager to learn as much as he could about broadcasting. I watched that gentle giant grow into a competent and dedicated professional admired and respected by all. His name is on my list of outstanding technicians like Glyne Bryan, Clyde Clarke, Woolsley "Borky" Roach, Philmore Lewis, Vic Brewster, Larry Mayers, Anthony “Admiral” Nelson and Winston "Jack" Dear, who helped to make Barbados Rediffusion and its later iterations the professional and highly respected institution revered by thousands of Barbadians and others in the Caribbean. I hope a suitable memorial has been set up to keep alive the contribution of those stalwarts. My condolences to “Holly's” family and former colleagues at River Road. Carl Moore
