Obituary for Randy S. Gauthier

DATELINE: BALLSTON LAKE, NY
Randy S. Gauthier, age 64, of Ballston Lake and Peregrine Living Center in Clifton Park, passed away after a long progressive decline from frontotemporal degeneration on February 18, 2018. Born on August 28, 1953 in Herkimer, NY and son of the late Emil and Betty (Morgan) Gauthier.
Randy attended SUNY Cobleskill and had a long, rewarding career as a manager at General Electric in Schenectady, NY.
Randy was active in his children's lives in Boy Scouts Troop 56, the Burnt Hills Rowing Association, and many camping, fishing, and hiking trips. A member of the Ballston Lake Fire Department and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he enjoyed participating in the Black and Blue Thumb Crew. He was also an avid golfer.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl for 43 years; loving father to Joseph (Colleen), Matthew (Joyce) and Michael (Erika) Gauthier; dear Papa to Randy, Andrew, and Cora; caring son-in-law to Carmella Zadrozny. Brother to Marilynn, Harold, and Rick. He was preceded in death by sister Marla Garlock.
The family would like to thank Peregrine Living Center and Bright Horizons for their loving care.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087 or theaftd.org.



Interment will be held in Sweetman Cemetery in Charlton, NY at a later date.
