Ralph Anthony Kolodziejczyk (AKA “Alphabet”) 78, of Gatesville, Tx passed away February 19, 2018 at his home. He went to sleep on this earthly world and woke up with the Lord.
Ralph was born on June 13, 1939 to Jane Konvicka Kolodziejczyk and Christian Kolodziejczyk. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved fishing and was a good prankster. A devout Catholic, was born and raised in Runge, Tx and graduated from Runge High with the Class of 1957. He lettered in football, basketball, and track and attended Victoria Junior College.
Served his country with the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis and stationed near the German-Russian border and was honorably discharged as Army Security Agency Sergeant (E5) in April 1965.
Ralph was raised on the farm and later worked as a ginner at the cotton gin, sales representative for Pioneer Flour in San Antonio, Tx., a carpenter in Victoria and Irving, Tx before going to work for ATSF Railway in 1967. “Alphabet” became a train dispatcher in 1972 and retired in August 1998 with 31 plus years.
Survivors include wife, Belva “BJ” Anglin Kolodziejczyk of Gatesville, Tx; daughter Michelle Culp of Morgan’s Point; son Chris and wife Susan Kolodziejczyk of Belton, Tx. Grandchildren, Trevor and wife Heather Culp of Melissa, Tx; Cooper Kolodziejczyk and Grace Kolodziejczyk of Belton; and great granddaughter, Remy Culp of Melissa, Tx.

Visitation and gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, February 24 from 1-3 p.m. at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple, Tx.
A Celebration of Life will be at his home in Gatesville, Tx on June 2, 2018.
