Healdton - Mr. William Leslie Green of Healdton, 89, passed away on Monday Feb. 19, 2018 at his home in Healdton. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory and his ashes will be scattered at a later date near Darrington, WA.
Leslie was born on May 21, 1929 at Darrington, WA to the late Mr. Thomas Edwin Green and Mrs. Mollie Estelle (Lewis) Green. He was raised in the community Darrington residing at Sauk Prarie. His first job after graduating high school was as a shingle weaver, cutting wooden shingles for homes. He married the former Elsie Wise on October 29, 1949 at Arlington, WA. They made their home in a 1 room cabin at Sauk Prarie and they resided there until they were blessed with children. After their children were born they built a larger home and Leslie continued using the cabin fabricating boats for the local fisherman. Leslie worked for the Washington State Highway Department for 28 years. He always lived to go fishing and hunting. He loved sharing all of the stories of his life living at Sauk Prairie. Most recently he and Elsie had moved to Healdton to be closer to their family.
Preceding him in death are Parents; 2 brothers, Denver and Edwin.
Survivors include his loving wife Elsie of the home in Healdton; daughters, Pamela Pickelsimer and husband Jug of Healdton and Tina Jennings and husband Cam of Sedelia, MO; son, Kimburly Green of Darrington, WA; sisters, Alta Mae Andrews of Darrington, WA and Linda Parker of Everett, WA; 8 grandchildren, Nichole Barrett and husband Mark, Deron Pickelsimer and wife Amber, Lisa Timmons and husband Art, Laura Harris and husband Jesse, Natalie Smith and husband Nick, Cami Dearth and husband Kenny, Shannon Green and Garrett Green; 17 great grandchildren numerous other family and friends.
