Obituary for Ralph Gilbert "Gil" Swartz


Ralph Gilbert Swartz born November 19, 1929 to William H. Swartz and Ida Margaret Pennapacker in Bucks County PA. Died February 12, 2018 in Pueblo Colorado. He was proceeded in death by both parents, his brothers Harry Swartz, Edwin Laverne Swartz, William Paxon Swartz, Jacob Allen Swartz, his sisters Ida Gertrude Reiff, Emma Lorraine Bamberry, Mildred Elizabeth Finnemeyer, Linda Eugenia Godshall , first wife, Anna Mary (Knechel) Swartz, his second wife Carol Burton Swartz and grandchildren Brandy Johnson and Nicholas Adam Johnson.



He is survived by seven children: Debra Rhyne (Harris Rhyne) of Bradenton FL, Marjorie Foust (Timothy Foust) of Camden OH, Judy Lang (Danny Lang) of Florence CO, Steven Swartz (Nicole Swartz) of Myakka FL, Belinda Swartz of Bradenton FL, Gregory Swartz (Peggy Swartz) of Port Charolette FL, Bruce Swartz (Tammi Swartz) of Port Charolette FL, and step son Chris Collins (Samatha Collins) of Salida Colorado and a brother Harold Monroe Swartz (Carol Swartz) of Bradenton, FL.



Ralph was known by many as Gil. He enjoyed the Colorado mountains and the gulf waters in Florida. He loved the outdoors, horses, stock car racing and playing his guitar. He left behind many friends and a large family 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.



Memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Poncha Springs, Colorado
February 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM

Celebration of Life will also be held February 24th at 1 PM at 516 Kellstad Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33152
