John Walter Rollins, age 57, a lifelong Milford residence, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Milford Hospital. He was born on December 8, 1960, son of the late Andrew Bailey and Juanita Lipscomb Rollins. He was employed as a construction worker for Attalino Construction. An avid sport fan, he played football, wrestled, baseball and ran track for Jonathan Law High School and attended AIC College in Springfield, Mass. He will be remembered as a good-hearted and fun-loving son, brother and friend to the Milford community. Mr. Rollins is survived by his sisters Anita Rollins of Charlotte, NC and Patricia Ann Rollins of Anderson, SC and brother Kenneth Rollins and his wife Jackie of Charlotte, NC, niece Kelsey Rollins of Charlotte, NC and niece Shantel Williams of Bridgeport, CT, nephew Lloyd Rollins of West Haven, CT Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Mary Rollins and brothers Paul and Lawrence Rollins. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 7pm. Interment will be private.
