In Loving Memory of James Anderson.
Born: December 2, 1946
Died: February 23, 2018

Jim passed away suddenly on February 23. A Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967.

Jim was 71 years old and resided in Dunedin, Florida with his wife of 18 years, Sandra. Jim was born and raised in Woburn, Massachusetts.

Jim worked for the Marriott Hotel chain as a nighttime auditor and had a few chances to travel to different locations with the company; Dunedin, Florida was his favorite spot to escape to. After his retirement from the hotel chain and relocating to Dunedin where he married his wife, Sandra, also from Woburn, Massachusetts, he became an active member in the community. He was on the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Advisory Board for a few years. He was also involved in the Neighborhood Watch Program and was awarded the 2006 Neighborhood Watch Chairperson of the Year for the City of Dunedin. He volunteered on many occasions with his wife Sandy doing Bicycle Safety Rodeos for children and teenagers with the Pinellas County School Crossing Guard Program. Jim also successfully completed the Community Policing Institute #14 with his wife Sandy.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth (nee McCloud) Anderson; brother, Wayne (Catherine) Anderson; sister, Roberta (Bruce) Finethy and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Eric Anderson; brother, Bruce Anderson; sister, Elizabeth Andreason.

A private service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 1:30pm at Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens, Palm Harbor, Florida.
