FANTLEY VAUGHN “SONNY” KILLEBREW, JR.
1940 - 2018

Fantley Vaughn ”Sonny” Killebrew, Jr, 77, of Muskogee, OK, was born April 28, 1940 at Muskogee, OK, the son of Fantley Vaughn Killebrew, Sr. and Ruth Fern (Brantley) Killebrew and died Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home in Muskogee.

On August 5, 1963, Fantley married Georgetta Folsom in Stilwell, OK. Prior to retirement, Fantley worked for 30 years as a social worker for D.H.S. He was a collector of Western memorabilia, most importantly of Roy Rogers. Fantley was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army and a lifelong active member of Boulevard Christian Church in Muskogee.

Survivors include his wife, Georgetta of the home; daughter, Kelly Lamont and husband, Clark, of Cumberland Furnace, TN; two grandchildren, Amber Coberley and husband, John, of Midwest City, OK, Adam Armstrong and fiancée, Jami Perry, of Muskogee, OK; one great-grandson, Kaleb Coberley of Midwest City, OK; brother, Jim Killebrew and wife, Yolanda, of Lincoln, IL; two sisters, Virginia Savage and husband, David, of South Haven, MS, Janice Bowen and husband, Pete, of Birmingham, England; sister-in-law, Vickie Folsom of Muskogee, OK; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fantley and Ruth Killebrew; sister, Betty Ann Mills; niece, Jean Ann Kull; brothers-in-law, Roger Folsom and Stanley Folsom; sister-in-law, Betty Killebrew; and best friend, Bob Barksdale.

Services for Fantley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Christian Boulevard Church with Reverend James McCracken and Reverend Steve Moss officiating. Services are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
