Mério Joseph Gilles Albert
Albert, Mério Joseph Gilles - The family announces the death of Mr Mério Albert at the age of 84 years. Mério passed away peacefully at Temiskaming Hospital, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 following a long illness.
Mério was born at Amos, Québec to the late Emile Albert and the late Ida Collin. He had lived in Elliot Lake for a good part of his life and moved to Haileybury in 2013. Mério led a quiet life and enjoyed time spent with his family.
Predeceased by his parents; his loving wife Marie-Ange [Léveillé] and by his siblings: Ronald Albert, Edmay Dault, Rhéal Albert, Armond Albert and Emilien Albert. Left to mourn are his children: Frances Caverley [Brian] of Hope, B.C., Richard [Julie] Moore of New Liskeard, Norman [Katherine] Moore of Vancouver, B.C., and Michael [Lois] Moore of Cobalt. Fondly remembered by eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and his sister Jeannine Albert.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr Barron, Dr Leger-Nolet and the nursing staff of Temiskaming Hospital for the excellent care Mério received over the last two months. Your professionalism and care are greatly appreciated.
The Albert family will welcome friends at Eglise Ste-Croix/Holy Cross Church, Haileybury, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am for a memorial mass. Father Marcel Bruneau officiating. Spring interment will take place at the Haileybury Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Community Cancer Care [cheques only] will be gratefully acknowledged.
