The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joyce Carmichael can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Gone from us that smiling face,
Her cheerful pleasant ways
The heart that won so many friends,
In bygone, happy days.

A life made beautiful by kindly deeds,
A helping hand for others in need.
To a beautiful life,
Comes a peaceful end,
She died as she lived,
A friend to everyone.

Gone but not forgotten. She will always be in our hearts.

Condolence: Our condolences to all of Aunt Joyce’s boys and your families. She was a lady of laughter to describe her in a word. Always wanting to talk up a storm. Your house was always full of good times and cheer too, she made sure! She will be missed but the memories will be held dear. Love to you all. Donna and Doug

Condolence: To the Carmichael family, to Shelly Carmichael and Chad Carmichael. I was saddened to read of Joyce’s death today. She was a real social lady. Back in the mid 70’s when the Carmichael’s lived in Verlum Township I was working for Fenelon Dairy. Joyce was one of my customers. She and I always had a good visit when I would drive into their farm. She always had delicious cookies and made sure I left with a handful. From that period I had not seen her until Brian’s death. We reunited and had a great visit. She never forgot me.
I know your family will miss this iconic lady. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.
God Bless,
Dave Wells

Condolence: To all of Joyce’s family. I worked many years ago (the late 70’s) with Joyce at The I.G.A. at the end of Kent Street. She set a wonderful example for all her co-workers with her bubbly personality and ready smile. I haven’t seen her for years but I can see her smiling face as if it were yesterday. I just wanted to convey my heartfelt sympathy to you all and to say I feel blessed to have known her. May God give you all the grace and strength at this difficult time.
