AUGUSTA, MAINE
Rose P. Curtis - age 80, of Jabee Lane, died Feb. 28, 2018 at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Glenridge Drive after a brief illness. She was born in Augusta, ME on July 17, 1937 the daughter of George F. Roy and Corrine (Dwyer) Roy.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Curtis was employed by Hallowell Shoe Co. for many years. She was previously employed by Walter’s Boarding Home and Kennebec Linen.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Joseph Edward Roy,
Surviving is her son, Lance and Marion Curtis of Readfield; her daughter, Joyce Turcotte and Lester Mason of Readfield; daughter Becky and Fred Rollins of Camden; Kenneth Curtis of Augusta ; Robert Curtis of Augusta; Kevin Curtis of Augusta; Gerald and Kathy Curtis of Waterville; Kim Curtis of Florida; two brothers: George Henry Roy and his wife Mariette of Augusta and Raymond L. Roy of Augusta; a sister, Mary Tarbox of Vassalboro; 24 grandchildren and more than 24 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit from 11 AM until Noon on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. Committal prayers will be held at Holy Family Cemetery in the Spring.
