Mary Nell Simpson Van Dyke, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018 at Heritage Oaks West. She was born on November 21, 1924 in Streetman, Texas, the daughter of Elma and Pinkey Simpson. Mary Nell spent most of her life in Winkler, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Paul L. Van Dyke. While living in Dallas, they were blessed with two children, Karen and Brad. Through her lifetime more blessings came, her son-in-law, Mark, her grandchildren; Chris, Jason, Bradley and one great-grandson Luke. She loved her family and friends with all her heart!
Mary Nell was preceded in death by; her husband, her parents, her brothers, Marion Simpson and Max Simpson; and, her son-in-law Mark Ferguson.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Van Dyke Ferguson and son, Brad Van Dyke. Mary Nell is also survived by “the lights of her eyes”; grandchildren, Chris Ferguson and wife, Melanie, Bradley Van Dyke, Jason Van Dyke, and her great grandson, Luke Ferguson.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, TX. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elton McCann officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be James Simpson, David Simpson, Scott Simpson, Jerry Knight, Benny Pillans and Jeff Grace. Burial will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery in Winkler, Texas.
