Obituary for Carol Ann Farmer

Carol Ann  Farmer
Carol Ann Farmer, 69, of Chapmanville, after battling a long illness, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Born on July 16, 1948 in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Columbus and Celia Ann Johnson. Preceding her in death were her sisters Mary Francis Aldridge, Liza Harbor, and Nellie Tomblin, brother Danny Ray Johnson, daughters: Diana Jean Dillon, Delores Ann Jude and son John Fitzgerald Farmer.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years Donald R. Farmer, Sr., brothers Columbus (Sheila) Johnson, Bob Johnson and Ballard Johnson, sons: Donald (Diane) Farmer, Jr. of Charleston, Andrew (Kathy) Farmer of Sod, and Brandon Farmer of Chapmanville; daughters: Tammy Long of Chapmanville and Susan (Teddy) Pridemore of Wharton; brother-in-law, Roger (Nancy) Farmer; brother-in-law, Manuel (Opal Jean) Farmer; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She also had several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
Carol was a member of #15 Mud Fork Community Church. She loved her family and friends dearly, had a heart of gold and would help anyone.
A funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Akers-James Funeral Home Chapel in Aracoma with Rev. Doug Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Logan.
Friends may gather at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Carol will be carried to rest by her family and friends.
