John Edward "Eddie" Maloney, age 79, 308 Albamarle Avenue, Erwin, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Industry, Pennsylvania and had lived in Erwin since 1957. Eddie was a son of the late James Francis and Dova Lee Salmon Maloney. He was a U. S. Veteran serving in both the Navy and Army. Eddie was an expert rifleman and was awarded the good conduct medal. He retired from ABF as a truck driver for thirteen years. Eddie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Mozelle Maloney; two daughters, Judy Lovelace of Alabama and Joann Beam and husband, Terry of Erwin; two brothers, Lloyd Allen Maloney and wife Judy and Robert Anthony Maloney and wife, Debbie all of PA; two sisters, Mary Ellen Hinkle and Nora Louise Sutton and husband, Richard all of PA; two grandchildren, Bethany Peterson and Whitney Lewis; one great grandchild, Caroline Mozelle Fulwider; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday in the Evergreen Cemetery.
