Ethel F.   Knight
Ethel F. Knight of Delevan, NY died March 3, 2018 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 94.

She was born May 1, 1923 in Sandusky, NY a daughter of the late Albert and Dora (nee Leonard) Jones. She was a member of the Elton Baptist Church in Delevan and was a member and former Treasurer of the Cattaraugus County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed gardening and knitting.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Kenneth Knight, who she married January 1, 1943 in Sandusky, passed away in 1979.

Ethel is survived by her sons: Eugene (late Donna) Knight of Franklinville and Dan (Barbara) Knight of Delevan; her grandson and adopted son - Thomas Knight; her grandchildren: Ronald Knight, Larry (Belinda) Knight, Keven Knight, Dorelle (Brian) Less, David and Jennie Knight; her great-grandchildren: Aaron, Emma, Derek, Timothy, Gavin and Paxton; also survived by her sisters-in-law: Edna Jones of Machias and Peggy Jones of Indiana; her granddaughter-in-law: Beth Knight and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughters: Virginia Lipka and Carol Knight; her brothers: Burton, Jack and Paul "Sam" Jones; a grandson - Don Knight.

Friends may call Monday, March 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Elton Baptist Church, 10331 Marble Springs Rd., Delevan, NY 14042 with Rev. Roger Downer and Rev. Daryl Butler officiating. Ethel will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Kenneth, in the Delevan Cemetery, Delevan, NY.

Memorials may be made to the Elton Baptist Church or to the Delevan Fire Department, P.O. Box 218, Delevan, NY 14042.
