Condolence: We all mourn the passing of such a great lady. Our lives will be just a little bit emptier for now. But, Almighty God has given us a true and faithful hope, to be with all of our loved ones who have passed away once again, here on earth. Almighty God promises a resurrection. Acts 24:15 says: "..There is going to be a resurrection tion of both the righteous and the unrighteous". Also, Psalms 37:29 says: .".the meek shall inherit the earth". This bring us a true comfort and a real hope. These are trustworthy words from Almighty God, who cannot lie (Titus 1:2)

Condolence: We loved this special woman. We met her through doing genealogy research for the Turner family and we made a couple of trips to Kansas to just have lunch and visit with Bettie. She was a such a smart and special lady. I just called her after the Christmas holiday. Bless be the memory of Bettie. I am sad. Loved her spunk.

Condolence: Bettie was not only a talented journalist but a kind person. I met her and Marvin in the 1980s when my wife and I published the Blue Valley Gazette in the Stanley-Stilwell communities. We shared a love of country weekly newspapers. Later, when I started writing books, Bettie was one of my biggest fans and gave me much encouragement. She was a lovely lady. I admired her greatly.

Condolence: What a legend.....what a wonderful person.
Bettie worked for me at The Gardner News for quite a few years. She loved journalism and she loved Gardner. She helped in every aspect of publishing a weekly newspaper. I know she was admired and respected by friends throughout Gardner township. I hope city fathers take an opportunity to honor her for all of her contributions to the city of Gardner. No one would deserve it better.
