Obituary for Shirley M. Miller (Spidel)
Shirley M. Miller, 86, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born in Hershey, PA on October 2, 1931 and was the loving daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Margaret (Woods) Spidel.
Shirley was a member of the Middletown Anglers and Hunters Club. She loved flowers and would have them all around her house. She was a kind hearted person and loved all animals. She was an avid lottery player and had a real sweet tooth. Shirley's greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Shirley is preceded in death by nine siblings.
Shirley is survived by her three sons, Carl Meachum and his wife Laurel of Middletown, Randy Meachum and his wife Lucy of Middletown, Dennis Miller of Steelton; daughter, Karen Hershey and her husband John of Palmyra; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Spidel.
Honoring Shirley's wishes there will be no public service. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main St. Middletown with the funeral arrangements.
