When Jeff and I were teenagers in New Bethlehem Pennsylvania, we put my canoe in the Redbank Creek to have some fun and explore. We were goofing around and "somehow" tipped the canoe over dumping all of our food and supplies in the water. We then thought it would be a good idea to dive for all of it on the river bottom. Bad idea. Jeff dove in the water and hit his foot on the side metal motor mount on the canoe. It was bleeding pretty good but we got the canoe to shore where my 4 foot 11 inch grandmother who lived close and heard us yelling came and bandaged up his foot. That was our last canoe ride for cousin Jeff.
