Condolence: My thoughts and prayers to all the family and friends of Dick at this time. I was sad to receive the news for Richard's passing this morning from my cousin. I had the privilege of meeting and working for Richard when him along with the other two retired CDOC guys were hired to start up and operate the Bent County Corrections. I have never in my life worked for a team of guys that all displayed the "Firm, Fair, Consistency" that Richard along with the other displayed. Richard and I shared a common love and antiques, and remember one time he told me about a pedal tractor that was for sale at one of the malls in Florence. I gave him a blank check to pick it up for me when he went home that weekend and when he brought it back to me the next week, I do not remember the amount he told me he wrote the check for, but it was a lot more that he told me they wanted for it. I will never forget his laugh and look on his face at the reaction he seen from the look on my face. He was a great man and loved by all who ever met him. RIP my friend and thank you for the experiences you shared and taught us all at BCCF.
