Hillsborough – Olga Owdij, 95, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset.
Born and raised outside of Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine, Olga and her late husband Mikola, immigrated to the United states in 1951. Five years later in 1956, she and her husband became United States Citizens and resided in Bergen County for 28 years before settling to Brick. Olga happily resided in Brick for an additional 38 years prior to relocating to Hillsborough in recent times.
Predeceased by her husband Mikola and her four siblings, Olga is survived by her son Mikola and his wife Marie of Whitehouse Station; daughter, Niusa Haigh and her husband Geoffrey of Boxford, MA; grandchildren, Jacqueline Woodson and her husband David, Michael Owdij and his wife Jennifer and Geoffrey and Devon Haigh. Also surviving are great grandsons; Anthony and Justin Woodson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 beginning at 4pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 will funeral services following at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
Interment will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Church Cemetery, Jackson.
