Condolence: Even though I was deeply saddened to read of the death of Jerome, I know that because his strong faith and Christian values he is all right now.
When my Dad, Rev. J.H. Pringle and Jerome shared a room together for a short time in Rehab last year, Jerome became just like one of our family members. We would look out for him and he would look out for Dad, "his buddy".
Also, little did we know that Jerome's brother, Rev. Wallace Black knew my Dad and came up under him when Dad was pastoring at St. Mark Baptist Church. The Black family was always very special to Dad and Mom. What a blessing for God to have reconnected our families.
I know Jerome will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family. Rev. Black you are the epitome of what a Christian and brother should be like the way you took time out of your busy schedule to come see Jerome before you went to work in the mornings, then again in the evenings and sometimes during lunch. Getting him showered and dressed for church for bible study during the week and church services on Sundays. Calling your sisters and brothers that lived far away so they could talk to him while you were there with him. You showed so much patience and love for your brother. And because of your dedication and faithfulness it was not long before Jerome was able to walk and eat on his own again and go home.
Rev. Black and Sister Black for your faithfulness you will be blessed.
