In memory of my dear friend, Ida. We became friends in Brooklyn in 1965, when my first son, Jimmy, was 6 years old. Ida was a big support to me throughout my children’s lives. When my son, Daniel, was a colicky infant, Ida would come and rock him for hours in the rocking chair to give me a chance to the grocery shopping. Even after she moved away, we continued to speak daily on the phone. The days are very long now that I no longer have her call to look forward to each evening. She dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a giver, not a taker. She always gave of herself to everyone. Not only to her family, but to everyone her needed her. She was a wonderful, positive, inspiration and a supportive friend. She can never be replaced and I cherish the memories we shared. I don’t know what I will do without her in my life. God rest her soul. With all my love, Ann
