Carrie L  Woods
Sis. Carrie L. Woods was born August 22, 1922 to the late John
and Carrie Craig. She joined Mt. Bethel M. Baptist Church at an
early age under the pastorage of Rev. M.S. Young.
Sis. Woods was the mother of the church and she sang in the
Senior Choir. She retired from Bagdad E. School. She departed
this life on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Sandy Ridge Health and
Rehab.
Husband Walter Woods preceded her in death and all her siblings.
She leaves behind one son Freeman (Tammy) Simpson, one
daughter Minister Marcia (Ernest) Leaks, grandchildren Cynthia
Miller, Barbara (Keith) Strong, Freeman Simpson III, all of Flint,
Michigan; Porsha Hamilton of Nashville, Tennessee; Bettye
Lewis, Mattie Lewis of Flint, Michigan; Judy Lewis of Huntsville,
Alabama; Roy Thompson and Marcus Thompson, three sisters-inlaw,
one brother-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews, a special
niece Ida Jones.
