Obituary for Daniel E. "Dan" Lamarche
LOWELL- Daniel "Dan" E. Lamarche, 63, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 30th at his home. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Ianucci) Lamarche.
Dan was born in Lowell, on May 17, 1954 a son of the late Erna (Fayat) and Edgar Lamarche. He grew up in Lowell and was educated in the Lowell School System. He enlisted in the United States AirForce and served his country proudly from February 1974 to February of 1975. He became a Police Officer for the City of Lowell and he never looked back. Later in his career he returned to school, during his evenings, to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Western New England University.As a Police Officer he proudly served the City of Lowell for the past 32 years. He was a Firearms Instructor for the Lowell Police Department and he was also a Member of the Lowell Police Motorcycle Unit.
In his youth, Dan loved his late nights with the boys at Midnight Auto. He was a motorcycle enthusiast,who loved his Harleys, and building and riding them. He was a Member of the Tyngsboro Sportsmens Club.
Besides his wife Donna, Dan is survived by his four children: Katie Pires and her husband Barry of Lowell, Justin Lamarche and his Fiance Jennifer of Tyngsboro, Lisa Lamarche and her Fiance Chris of Nashua, NH., and Kellie Lamarche of Lowell. He also leaves his Grandchildren: Nathan, Madison and Alianna. He leaves his God-Daughter Alanna Ianucci. He also leaves his siblings: Michelle Flaherty and her husband Michael of Naples, FL., Nina Comtois and her husband Charles of Dracut and Paul and Annette Lamarche of CA. He was an Uncle to many, friend to most and will be sadly missed by all.

ARRANGEMENTS Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 3rd , from 2 - 6PM in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 8:45AM with his Funeral Mass to follow at St. Margaret's Church, Lowell on Wednesday, April 4th at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan’s memory to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Ma. 01701.
