Ronald Howard  Place
Ronald Howard Place, 74, of Vincent, Ohio, died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 13, 1943 in Marietta, Ohio, to Karl Willis and Margaret Elizabeth Goddard Place.
Ron was a 1961 graduate of Warren High School. He retired from G.E. Plastics, formerly Borg Warner in 2000, as a research assistant, after 37 years of employment. Ron was a member of the Moose in Parkersburg and loved to travel, fish and bowl. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Joyce Miller Place, whom he married on October 6, 1962; two children, Barbara Kucera (Michael) of Concord, NC and Ronald Howard Place, Jr. (Karen) of Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren, Anthony Place, Kevin Kucera (Ashley), Katherine Kucera, Jacob and Jonah Place; brother, Kevin Place (Marcia) of Cutler, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kent Place.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2017 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
