Springfield; Gerardo “Jerry” Torres, El Amigo Del Pueblo, age 84, passed away on Friday, April 6th, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. He was born December 1st, 1933, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, to his pre-decease parent Gerardo Torres and Joaquina Arroyo. He was a long-time resident of Springfield and retired from Milton Bradley/Hasbro Company. Jerry Torres truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, playing dominoes and softball, and just loved spending time with his family. Jerry had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He is survived by an extensive family. Calling hours will be held from, 6:00pm – 8pm on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, and Friday April 13,2018 from 9am to 10am at Puerta Del Cielo Funeral Home 730 State St Springfield MA. Follow by Christian burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield Ma.
