Michael Earl Kelly Sr.
Michael E. Kelly, Sr.
1954 - 2018

Michael Earl Kelly, Sr., 63, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday, April 07, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family as he went to be with the Lord.

Michael was born and raised in Pensacola, FL where he was educated in the Escambia County School System; this was home for him. He worked as a paper tester for 20 years at Champion International until the Lord called him to serve as a Missionary

He answered to his calling and served with Rock of Ages for over 20 years, moving up to Southeastern Director, until the decline of his health. As a servant of the Lord, he served his duty of sharing the gospel to people and preaching at institutions. In 1983 as a young man, Michael trusted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of Grace Bible Baptist Church, where he served as the first Deacon, Treasurer and Bookkeeper.

A wife’s loving devotion:

“Family ties are woven of a special love creating precious memories to keep forever. Thank you honey for the blessings and memories we shared. May this special love this year be a gift to you because you were such a blessing to our family. And a thank you prayer to GOD for the special gift of a wonderful husband. Until we meet again.

God Created one of the best when he made you. Thank you for your love for me and I for you. With a grateful heart of full reward be given to you by the Lord. You were loved with an everlasting love. Rest in peace my dear, you have finished your race and you ran well. Giving all honor and glory to God from your wife. You are still my favorite Preacher.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Pearl Wilkerson; daughter, Kenji and son, Demetrius.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Linda Kelly; beloved sister, Michele (John) Teddar; daughters, Michele Kelly and Melissa Kelly (Luis Santiago Medina) Cruz; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Kelly, Jr. and Marlon Kelly, Sr.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special nieces, Kadisha Jerralds and Andrea Teddar; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
