Obituary for Carl William Brown
Brown, Carl William - It is with deep sadness the family announces the death of Carl William Brown at the age of 87, after a short illness. Mr Brown passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 16, 2018.
Born in North Cobalt, Ontario on May 25, 1930 to the late Mary (nee Edwardson) and Hilton Brown. Mr Brown lived in Haileybury.
Predeceased by his parents, his loving wife Patricia (nee Cruickshank), his sister Kathleen and his sister-in-law Diane. Left to mourn are his children: Linda (Malvin) Cook, Danny Brown, Terry (Lynda) Brown, Janet (Ben) Benoit, Carole McCabe and Philip (Evelyn) Brown; grandchildren: Shannon (Scott), Manse (Sarah), Carl (Tatum), Justin, Kathy, Erik (Andrea), Marc (Ashlee), Sandy (Marc), Lisa and Lee (Lindsay); great grandchildren: Isla, Eli, Melody, Maxton, Tessa and David; brother-in-law James (Sue) Marietti. He leaves behind his good friends John West and Emile Breault.
Mr. Brown was a proud member of the Legion Branch #54 in Haileybury for over 60 years. He also worked at the Sherman Mine and Wabi Iron Works.
In keeping with Mr. Brown's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, contributions to the Haileybury Legion Branch #54 will be gratefully acknowledged.
The family would like to thank Dr. Glenn Corneil and the Temiskaming Hospital for all their care.
