Condolence: I remember Pete from my years at Crown Hill and Olinger's Mortuaries in the 1990's. Pete was always kind and jovial. Wonderful man to work with. So sorry he is gone.

Condolence: Pete Duran is one of the finest men I have ever known. I first met him on my Birthday, April 30th, 1976 when I was the new President of Crown Hill Cemetery and he was in charge of the interment crew. Our first conversation together was in an old car used by the cemetery to lead funeral processions to the grave site. It had a bad exhaust leak and when I expressed my concern about how dangerous it was to his health. He replied that it had be like that forever which is why he kept the window rolled down. Pete was a natural leader and team builder who cared greatly about his team, the families we served and Crown Hill. We were all blessed that he gave us 45 years of dedicated service. My sons Tim and Marcus were both lucky to have worked for him when they were young men. Under his leadership we were able to improve working conditions, wages, benefits by modernizing our equipment and training. Finally on a personal note, I want to thank Pete for believing in us and his gift of friendship. God bless you my dear friend, changed lives. made difference
