The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anna Quivers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Margy, My Mentor

I was Margy’s supervisor for some number of years in the 1990’s in the Contracting Office at LEAD.   She was one of the employees that was guaranteed to keep any supervisor on their toes.  Admittedly, I am a personality that is a bit naïve when it comes to social issues that I don’t personally support or believe in.  I tend not to acknowledge their existence.   Margy’s most common saying with me was something like “Come out of Brenda’s world and see what’s happening around you.”  In that manner she became one of my many mentors that God has afforded me during my life.  She loved her family and friends fiercely and never held back when she believed in an issue.  I will forever be grateful for the years that I’ve had to know her and I consider her a beloved friend.  Heaven has gained a wonderful angel in her passing and the world has lost a person with a monumental amount of life wisdom.  It breaks my heart that I am out of the area and cannot personally pay my respects to the family.  For Johnny and the family I am so very sorry for your loss.  For all of us that have valued her advice and counsel over the years we can only hope that we can live our lives in such a way that Margy would be proud that we learned the lessons she tried to teach us.  Rest in Peace our dear friend.
