Book of Memories

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Susan Rice-Waller can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Karen McRae
Condolence: Susan and her family were my next door neighbors in Ellerbe, NC. She was a sweet and beautiful person. My love and special prayers go out to Jimmy, Danny and all of her family. May you feel peace in knowing she is with her Lord and has joined her Mother, Father and brother Tim in Heaven.

Condolence From: Laurie Nicholson
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Susan's death. Susan and I were cousins; numbers 3 and 5 in the line up of 6 Bennett grandchildren. We were the only girls and spent many happy hours as children playing together and torturing our brothers. I will always remember her gentle and caring spirit, her beautiful expressive eyes, her genuine and infectious laugh, and her special connection to people. Her life and work are tributes to the values she chose and dedicated herself to wholeheartedly. Heaven is richer and I can only imagine the cloud of witnesses that greeted this good and faithful servant. May we all be guided by her faith and strength, and inspired to share our "I Love You's" as authentically and generously as she did. To all whose hearts are broken at this loss, and especially to Bob, Andy, Jimmy, and Dan, our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Condolence From: Habitat for Humanity Lee & Hendry Counties
Condolence: It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Rev. Susan Rice-Waller, Director of Development for Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties.
After receiving a clean bill of health for several years, Susan began her second battle with cancer in the Fall of 2017. Always a source of determination and tenacity, Susan fought her illness all the while continuing to put others first, serving the families, donors and volunteers of Habitat for Humanity.
She led a life of service and will be remembered as the epitome of Faith in Action. Please join us in praying for all those who are grieving her loss, especially her husband, Bob and son, Andy.
