Condolence From: Bonita Beatty
Condolence: I am thankful Charlie got to see the start of spring - a time of new life in nature and for him, a new blessed life with the Lord Jesus, whom he trusted. Charlies family grew up with my family in the fish camps and traplines and apparently was always helping wherever he could. I am thankful that Joan and others advocated hard to get him moved from PA to PCH in Flin Flon because he was treated well there which is what should be the right of all those who are not well, and can no longer look after themselves, especially elders. May God bless Charlie's Ochawasimisa (children) and Ototema (family).

Condolence: I met Charlie when he came to the Personal Care Home in Flin Flon where I work as a HCA , he and I became the best of friends quickly and after awhile I thought and cared for him like he was family . He always had a huge smile for me no matter if he had a good day or not . We joked , sometimes cried , shared readings in his Bible and he taught me so much about his culture , beliefs , about his trapping , helping others and so so much more . He enriched my life and taught me so much and he will be in my heart forever . He made me a better person and I hope I did the same for him . I had the honor of meeting a lot of his family who he loved and spoke of with such pride about , some I spoke to on the phone briefly when I would call them for him to talk to , he loved and was proud of each and everyone of you .
I could go on and on about my best friend Charlie , my heart is so heavy with his passing but I know he is in a better place , pain free , doing all the things he loves to do . He had tremendous faith in God , although I will miss him so very very much I know we will meet again some day .
To all his family , thank you for letting me be a part of your lives when he passed , making me feel so honored and including me to have cared for him till the end and care and help you all , I will never forget how kind and caring you were for me at your time of sorrow . He asked me one time what my favourite quote was from the Bible , it has always been the 23rd Psalm we would say it together often and I think it became one of his favorite as well .
God Bless you all and I hope I see you all again sometime .
