Scott R.  Roman
Scott Richard Roman, 48, of Ellington, moved on to Heaven to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was born November 21, 1969 in New London, the loving son of Diane (Berthold) and Joseph Roman, Jr. He worked for 29 years at Good Sports (Hot Leathers) and three years as a security guard for CSC. He loved music and going to concerts. He managed a band, The Degenerates with his best friend, Mike. He was a Boston Red Sox fan and also enjoyed wrestling and WrestleMania. He loved animals, especially his beloved cats, Marley and Maggie Elizabeth. He will be greatly missed. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving, caring and nurturing auntie Shar (Sharon (Berthold) Adams) and her husband Richard of Tolland, their children Kathy, Ricky and his wife Jenna; and their children Braden and Danielle, auntie Robin (Berthold) Rutherford and her husband Larry of California, aunt Sherri of Boston and aunt Christine; his grandma, Lorraine Berthold of California; his great aunt, Mary Uhlman; his second cousins, Richard Uhlman and his wife Cathy and their children, Michelle and Michael of Vernon, and Jeffrey Uhlman and his wife Sharon of Stafford Springs; his best friend, Mike Tracy and his wife Val; friends, Patty, Sabrina and Danielle; and many other good friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Nana Mildred B. Hebenstreit and Grandpa Herbert Berthold; and his paternal grandparents, Grandpa Joseph Roman and Grandma Amelia Roman. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 12 to 3 PM on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066.
