"Unc" as in Uncle
Where to start....When I moved to Audubon and was painting my house, I was reprimanded by John for 'ruining' the men's world in the neighborhood. All the wives chided the men - if she can do why can't you! Mike learned a life lesson from Unc - it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission!
We shared many laughing moments around adventures and family. Even though we were only neighbors, we were "adopted" by John and Ann. We even got some recommendations on how to improve the cinnamon roll recipe (John always volunteered to taste test!) and we could always look to him for helping us eat the homemade German chocolate cake on Mike's birthday!
We will miss him!
