Mary “Margaret” Robertson, passed away peacefully at Palatka Health Care Center on April 30, 2018 in Palatka, FL at the age of 88.
Margaret is survived by her children, Diana (Harry) Jenkins, Carlotta (Bill) Thomas and Margo (John) Arbuckle, grandchildren, Carla Thomas, Robby Thomas, Tony Turner, Justin Turner, Jason Turner, Matthew Turner, Renea Norris and JD Arbuckle, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Polly Burkholder and Betty Canfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Robertson.
Margaret was born on June 24, 1929 in Del Rio, Tennessee to Howard and Cora Moore and married her husband Charles in 1947. She loved to spend time with her family and adored each of her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and working in ceramics. She was loving and generous and dedicated to her family. Margaret was loved by everyone who knew her and touched many lives. She enjoyed all children and in her retirement, she volunteered with Communities in Schools in Palatka where she served as a tutor at Mellon Elementary School.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Five Oaks Rest Home as well as the staff at Palatka Health Care Center and Community Hospice for their care over the past months.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Palatka with Elder Ron Jackson officiating.
A graveside service under the care of Brown Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Moore Cemetery in Del Rio, TN.
